The schönherr.fabrik site is one of Chemnitz’s most significant 19th-century industrial monuments. Covering an area of approximately 83,000 m², the site comprises a unique collection of factory buildings spanning over 200 years and is now one of the most successful examples of industrial building regeneration in Chemnitz.

In the industrial section of the former loom factory, companies from the engineering sector, a foundry, loom manufacturers and metalworking firms now operate alongside businesses in the retail and service sectors.
